How to use your Nura editor link

Your editor link is your own page for choosing which channel groups the app shows, putting them in your order, pairing a new device and opening any other accounts linked to yours. Nothing to install: it works in any web browser.

Opening your link

Your provider sends you a link that looks like this (this one is only an example and will not open anything):

https://nuraeditor.org/my-channels/2b98272e2b42…

  • Open it on your phone, tablet or computer. Save it as a bookmark, or keep the message it came in.
  • The long code at the end is your key. Anyone who has the link can change your groups, so do not post it anywhere public.
  • If you lose it, ask your provider to send it again.

What is on the page

On a computer the page has two columns; on a phone they are stacked.

  • Service Status: shows whether your service is working right now. If something is down, you can see it here before you contact anyone.
  • Connection Details: the server address, username and password for your account, with a Copy button next to each. Use these if you ever need to type your login into a different app. They are also shown as playlist and TV guide links.
  • Pair a Device: sign a new TV or phone in without typing (see below).
  • Backup & Restore: save your current choice of groups and order, and bring it back later.
  • Groups: choose and order what shows in the app.

If a red bar says your subscription has expired, playback is switched off until your provider renews it. Your groups and settings are kept.

Choose and order your groups

Groups are the folders in your channel list, like UK, Sports or Kids. Use them to hide what you never watch and put your favourites first. Changes save automatically: there is no Save button.

  1. Pick Live, Movies or Series at the top of the Groups box.
  2. Tick the groups you want to change. All and None tick or clear every box at once.
  3. Press Enable to show them in the app, or Disable to hide them. Disabled groups wait in the Disabled groups box, so you can bring them back at any time.
  4. To change the order, use Top, Up, Down or Bottom on the ticked groups, or drag a row to where you want it. Only groups that are switched on can be moved: they are the ones shown in the app.

Choose by country

Press Choose by country to show a row of flags. Tap a flag to tick every group for that country in one go, then press Enable or Disable.

When will I see it in the app?

The app picks your changes up the next time it refreshes your playlist, which happens when you open it. To see a change straight away, close the app and open it again, or reload the playlist from the app's settings.

Pair a new device

  1. On the TV or phone, open Nura, choose Pair with Code, and note the six-digit code it shows.
  2. On your editor page, type the code into Pair a Device. Give the device a name such as Living Room TV: that becomes its profile name in the app.
  3. Press Pair. The device signs in by itself.

Each account can have up to 5 paired devices. The list under Pair a Device shows them, and Remove or Revoke frees a place when you change a TV or phone.

More than one account on your link

If your provider has put several of your accounts together (for example a second line for another room, or a family member's), your editor page shows a drop-down above the groups with the name of each account.

  1. Open the drop-down at the top and choose another account. The page switches to that account's own groups, devices and connection details.
  2. To go back to your first account, choose it from the same drop-down.
  3. Press Manage lines to see them all in a list. Open takes you to an account's page. Remove takes it off your list only: that account's own link keeps working, it just no longer appears under yours.

Each account keeps its own groups, order, devices and expiry date, so changing one never changes another. The drop-down and Manage lines only appear on your main account's link. The other accounts use their own link and manage just themselves. To add another account to your list, ask your provider.

Back up your choices

Before a big clear-out, press Save backup now in Backup & Restore. If you are unhappy with the result, press Restore to put your groups and order back as they were. Delete removes the saved copy.

If something does not look right

My groups did not change in the app

Close the app and open it again so it refreshes the playlist. Check you changed the right account if you have more than one on your link.

A group I enabled is empty

Some groups have no channels at the moment. They are switched off and hidden automatically after each update from the provider, and come back by themselves when they have channels.

It says my subscription has expired

Contact your provider to renew. As soon as it is renewed, playback works again and nothing needs setting up.

The pairing code is not accepted

Codes last a short time. Choose Pair with Code on the device to get a new one, and type it again. If you already have 5 paired devices, remove one first.

I lost my link

Ask your provider to send it again. If you think someone else has it, ask for a new one.
