Install Nura on your TV box
Nura is made for Android TV, Google TV and Formuler boxes. There is also a simpler version for phones and tablets.
- On your TV box, install the free Downloader app from the app store (on a Formuler box it is in the Market).
- Open Downloader and type nuraplayer.uk/tv, then press Go.
- Choose Install. The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from Downloader: allow it, then go back and press Install again.
- Open Nura from your apps. From now on it checks for updates by itself.
On a phone or tablet, open nuraplayer.uk/phone in the browser and install from there.
Sign in on a device
Nura's sign-in screen has three tabs: Xtream Login, Pair with Code and M3U Playlist. Use whichever matches what you have.
Pair with Code (easiest on a TV)
- On the TV, open Nura and choose Pair with Code. A short code appears.
- On your phone or computer, open the device page for this device (see Add a device: it is the My Editor Link of the device).
- Under Pair a Device, type the code and press Pair. The TV signs in by itself within a few seconds.
Xtream Login
Type the Server URL, Username and Password. For a nuraeditor.org device, all three are under Connection Details on the device page. For another provider, use the details they gave you.
M3U Playlist
Paste the playlist link (and a TV guide link if you have one). Use this for a provider that only gives you a link.
Nura Pro in the app
Every new device gets every feature free for 7 days, starting when you add your first playlist. After that, Nura keeps working as the free version (live TV with one playlist, a 3-hour TV guide and up to 3 favourite channels) unless Pro is unlocked.
- With a nuraeditor.org device login, Pro is included on that device while the login is paid up. Nothing else to buy.
- Otherwise, unlock Pro once inside the app: £20, one time, for up to 5 of your devices. The TV shows a QR code, you pay on your phone, and the TV unlocks by itself. You get a licence key to add your other devices.
Get started with nuraeditor.org
nuraeditor.org is where your playlist lives: you add it once, choose which groups each device shows and in what order, and every device signed in with your logins shows it that way. A Standard account is for one person and their own devices.
- Go to nuraeditor.org/register and create your account with your email and a password. It is free.
- Add your playlist with the details from your provider.
- Add money for your devices: £3.50 per device, per year.
- Add a device for each TV, box or phone, then sign in to Nura on it.
Sign in at any time at nuraeditor.org/dashboard. A welcome box on your first visit lists these steps too.
Add your playlist
- Open My playlists (Pro accounts: Providers) and press Add playlist.
- Give it a name, then type the server address, username and password your provider gave you (their Xtream details).
- Save. The channels, films and series are copied in; a big playlist can take a few minutes. The playlist then shows its numbers of channels, movies and series.
Each playlist shows when it last updated: a green dot is within a day, amber within three days, red older. Press Sync to update it now. The … menu has Edit playlist details (for example a new password from your provider) and Delete playlist.
Pay for your devices
- Open Billing.
- Choose 1, 3 or 5 device-years (£3.50, £10.50 or £17.50) and pay by card.
- The money goes onto your balance straight away (shown at the bottom of the menu). Each device you add uses £3.50 for a year.
Nothing is charged automatically: when a device's year is nearly up, add another year from the same balance. Unused balance stays on your account.
Add a device
- Open My devices.
- Under Add a device, give it a name (for example "Living room TV"), and choose a username and a password for it.
- Press Add device. It uses one device-year (£3.50) from your balance and works on one TV, box or phone.
- In the list, press My Editor Link to copy the device's own page link, and open it in a browser. That page has the device's Connection Details, Pair a Device and its Groups.
- Sign in to Nura on the device with the code or with those details.
Changing TVs? On the device page, Remove the old device under Paired Devices, then pair the new one.
Choose your groups and their order
Open the device page (My Editor Link) and go to Groups, with tabs for Live, Movies and Series.
- Show or hide: tick groups and press Show or Hide. Hidden groups wait in the Hidden groups box, so nothing is lost.
- Order: drag a row, or tick groups and use Top, Up, Down or Bottom.
- Changes save by themselves and show on the device the next time its list refreshes.
- Backup & Restore: Save backup now keeps a copy of your groups and their order; Restore brings it back, for example after replacing your box.
The TV guide (EPG)
Your channels get our guide automatically: it is matched to your channels and kept up to date. You can add your own guide links as well.
- Open EPG Guide and find My Guide (EPG) Links.
- Paste a guide link (XMLTV, also .gz/.zip/.xz/.bz2, a JSON guide, or an M3U that names its guide) and press Add link. A time shift moves its times if they are not UK time.
- Choose how it is used: In addition to ours (our guide first, yours fills anything missing) or Only my guide.
- Press Refresh now to load it straight away; afterwards it updates by itself.
Become Pro (for resellers)
Pro is for people who look after lines for other people. You can upgrade from a Standard account yourself.
| What | Price |
|---|---|
| Pro access | £50 per year |
| Each line (a login for a customer) | £2.50 per year, as many lines as you like |
| Devices per line | 5 included |
| Extra devices on a line | 50p each, per year |
| Top-ups | £10, £25, £50 or £100 |
- Sign in and open Billing. Press Become Pro · £50 / year and pay by card.
- Your account switches to Pro within moments and your panel moves to nuraeditor.org/pro. Your balance comes with you.
- Top up your balance under Billing to pay for lines and extra devices.
Billing shows "You are Pro until…" with a Renew Pro button. If you do not renew, the account goes back to Standard on that date and keeps its balance.
Lines for your customers
- Open Clients & Sessions. Under Create Client Profile, fill in a name, username and password, and how many streams may run at once.
- Press Provision Client: £2.50 per year comes off your balance (a longer line costs a year at a time).
- Give your customer their details: Copy M3U or My Editor Link in the list. On their device they sign in to Nura with Pair with Code or Xtream Login.
- To add time, Edit the line and move its expiry date; each started year costs the line (and its extra devices) again.
Extra devices on a line
Every line has 5 devices. When a customer needs more, press Add devices next to the line and type how many. Each extra device costs 50p for every year left on that line, from your balance, and the line's device limit goes up straight away.
See who is watching
Online Now on the Clients & Sessions page lists your lines that are watching right now, what they started and on which app or device, with a bar for how well each connection is doing. You only see your own customers.
Your account
- Sign in: nuraeditor.org/dashboard takes you to your own panel (Standard or Pro).
- Change your password: Account at the bottom of the menu. It signs you out everywhere else.
- Forgot your password? Ask us on Discord and we will reset it.
- Payments and refunds: see the refund policy. What we keep about you is in the privacy policy.
Something is not working
A channel will not play
Try another channel. If Nura says "Your provider refused this channel", the provider turned the connection away: usually the subscription has run out, or too many devices are watching at once. If no channel plays at all, check your details with your provider, then Sync the playlist.
The TV guide shows the wrong programmes, or nothing
Most channels get their guide automatically. If one is wrong or empty, add your own guide link under EPG Guide, or tell us the channel name on Discord.
"This login already has a paired device"
A Standard device login works on one device. Open its device page, Remove the old device under Paired Devices, then pair again. For more than one device, add another device.
"Not enough balance"
Top up under Billing; the message says how much the action costs and how much you have.
A playlist's dot is red
It has not updated for more than three days. Press Sync. If it keeps failing, check the details with your provider and use Edit playlist details in the … menu.
Nura says the free version after the trial
Sign in with a nuraeditor.org device login (Pro is included), or unlock Pro in the app (£20 for 5 devices). See Nura Pro in the app.
