How to set up Nura for someone else

What you need

• Your editor page at nuraeditor.org (your editor link, or sign in). If you are not sure how it works, read how to use your editor link first.
• Nura on their TV or phone. They can install it from the download section of this site.
• A way to talk to them: a phone call or a message is enough.

The steps

1. They: open Nura, choose Pair with Code and read out the six-digit code on the screen.
2. You: on your editor page, find Pair a Device and type the code in.
3. Give the device a name that will make sense to you, such as Mum's TV. That becomes its profile name in the app.
4. Press Pair. Their TV signs in by itself, and the playlist and your choice of groups load.

Looking after it from your side

• Their channel list: hide the groups they never watch and put the ones they do first. The app picks the change up the next time it refreshes the playlist, which happens when they open it.
• Their devices: the list under Pair a Device shows every paired device. Remove or Revoke frees a place if they get a new TV or you want to stop it.
• Their own account: if they have their own login from their provider, they can use Xtream Login on the first screen instead, and manage their own channels.

Limits to know about

• Most accounts can have up to 5 paired devices; a Standard account has one. Each person you pair uses one of those places.
• The paired TV uses your account's login to your provider. Some providers only allow a set number of screens at once, so check that yours allows another one.
• Nura is a player only. It does not supply any channels, so what they can watch is whatever your own playlist contains, and you are responsible for having the right to share it.
